Header Specs:

This header is designed for any tube size up to 2 ¼” with any collector size up to 4” or our collector mufflers up to a 5” size. The header can be made for any engine deck height and for any aftermarket cylinder head in any tube size stepped or not. All of the tubes are inside the frame with good ground clearance and spark plug access. The oil pan has about 3” of room on each side at the bottom for sump kick outs, but is limited up at the pan rail. The header was designed with a Hitachi style starter and will not fit a full size GM starter. This header will fit up to a 9” power brake booster and clutch linkage, but will NOT fit factory air conditioning or column shifter linkage. It will fit side motor mounts or motor plates, but the engine has to stay in the stock location.

Header Installation:

Our race headers are normally made with individual tubes and slip on collectors for easier installation. This header is still a little tricky.
Driver side install the two center tubes from the bottom, then #1 tube from the top, it will have to go through #3 and #5 as it is installed. If you have a large tube size or a kick out style oil pan you may have to raise the engine. Once these tubes are in just start the header bolts to allow these tubes to move freely. Last install #7 from the bottom and snug the header bolts only, don’t tighten them until the collectors are installed the go back and tighten all the header bolts.
Passenger side install the #2 tube from the top and start bolts, then install the center tubes from the bottom and start bolts again leave the bolts loose so the tube can be moved. Last install #8 from below, snug the header bolts, then install the collector and go back and tighten all the header bolts.
